Drive And Water-cooled Motor Failures&Solutions

Woodworking engraving machines will always have one or another failure during long-term use. Today we will explain to you the performance and solutions when the driver and water-cooled motor fail.

Woodworking engraving machine drive failure:

1) Performance: During the engraving process, all movements are normal, but after the processing is completed, the return point when returning to the origin of the workpiece does not coincide with the defined origin at the beginning of the engraving process.

Reason: The driver is faulty, replace the driver and check whether the power supply voltage of the driver is normal.

2) During the engraving process, especially in the process of high-speed processing, the reasons for the pause phenomenon are:

① The power supply voltage of the driver is unstable;

② The output current of the driver is too small.

Solution: Check whether the power supply voltage is normal, if not, please use the corresponding voltage stabilizer; adjust the output current of the driver, please refer to the "driver wiring diagram and parameter adjustment" section for the adjustment method.

Water-cooled motor operation failure of woodworking engraving machine:

1) After clicking the "Spindle On:" item in the control system, the spindle motor does not rotate.

① Check the data cable interface, if the interface is loose, please reconnect it.

② Check whether the inverter power supply is normal.

③ Check if there is any error message on the LED display of the inverter. Please refer to the section on Inverter Debugging in Machine Debugging to reset the inverter parameters.

④If none of the above problems exist, click "Spindle Start" again to check whether the spindle motor has a starting sound, and the shaft cannot rotate freely. Please check the connection part of the line from the output terminal of the inverter to the spindle motor. This problem is a circuit breaker.

2) After clicking "Spindle On", the spindle motor stops running for a while and then stops running.

① Please check the frequency converter prompts a fault, the LED prompts "FU.9", this fault is an output short circuit fault, check the line between the output port of the frequency converter and the spindle motor, and eliminate the short circuit fault.

②If the LED screen of the inverter prompts "FU.1", the fault is an input voltage fault, check whether the input voltage is too high or too low, and use a corresponding voltage regulator.
